NRC Interactive: Forced Displacement Simulation
NRC Interactive: Forced Displacement Simulation
NRC Interactive is a bilingual kiosk simulation produced for the Norwegian Refugee Council Deutschland. Users step into the position of a displaced person, beginning with first registration at a transit centre on the Lebanon–Syria border, then navigating one of four branching legal and protection scenarios: an inheritance claim from a Syrian refugee camp in Jordan, an eviction dispute from a displacement site in South Sudan, the registration of a child's birth in Nigeria or Mali, or a war damage compensation claim in Ukraine. Each scenario traces realistic choices and their consequences, showing how NRC's ICLA (Information, Counselling & Legal Assistance) and PfV (Protection from Violence) programmes respond at different points in a displacement journey.
